A mooring compensator made of this rubber does not discolour. \u003cbr\u003eThe mooring ropes can be pulled through the nylon clips at each end. This eliminates the need for knots. A simple but safe method, because the more tension on the rope, the better the clips hold. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe stretch length of the Forsheda mooring compensators can be adjusted as required: \u003cbr\u003eMake one turn of the rope around the mooring compensator on calm water with no swell or waves. \u003cbr\u003eMake two turns of the rope around the mooring compensator in light wave action and tidal waters. \u003cbr\u003eMake three turns of the rope around the mooring compensator at open and unprotected water. This ensures lots of freedom of movement for the boat and strong damping. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIdeally, every mooring rope should be fitted with a Forsheda mooring compensator.
